Fourth grade students will have the option to take band lessons this year. A letter of interest will be sent home during the second week of school.
Each lesson will last 15 minutes and will take place during the school day.
There is no fee for the lessons. However, if the student does not own their instrument, they will be required to rent one from a local music store (I recommend Heid Music).
A methods book will also need to be purchased.
Learning a musical instrument is a rewarding experience and, while it can be met with many challenges, the opportunity for growth is tremendous.
